- Reception (This includes the "first dances" followed by a high-energy dance set designed to fill the dance floor for hours!)
- Master of Ceremonies (We can handle all of the announcement duties, from dismissing tables, to introducing the wedding party, first dances, cake-cutting, etc...)
- Hiring Specialty Musicians (Need a violin player, cellist, flutist, etc...? We can take care of hiring those musicians for you)
From the moment the date is agreed upon, Mark would work closely with the Bride & Groom, helping them with their music choices for the night. There's nothing quite like having "your song (s)" played live while you dance to them at your wedding! We can also play any tune that you'd like "DJ" style, so there is no need to make a choice of whether or not to have live music or a DJ. Choosing Mark Ficks for your wedding means you get "BOTH" if that's what you'd like!
“While sipping wine at 12 Corners, we heard Mark Ficks for the first time. His music was beautiful, and we knew we wanted him to be a part of our wedding. In our original plan, Mark was going to play acoustically on a patio for our small wedding reception. As our wedding plans evolved, our vision and venue changed. Instead of a small patio reception, our wedding turned into a larger, barn wedding. Mark was extremely flexible about the change in plans and asked his band to accompany him. He quoted us a fair price for the evening and even volunteered to help us find a local violinist for the ceremony. From start to finish, Mark was responsive, enthusiastic, and went above and beyond to make our wedding a dreams come true. He met us at the venue a few months before the wedding so he could get a lay of the land, learned a handful of special songs we requested, allowed the minister to use his mic for the ceremony, and overall made sure the day was one we would never forget. We are grateful we found Mark and his band. We would, and do, recommend Mark's talent to anyone looking for an acoustic singer or full band. Mark, you totally nailed it yesterday!
